could you consider remastering the Red Hot Chili Peppers "By The Way" album?

I would really love to hear it with all the dynamic range it should of had.

yah - that sort of music has been more consistently compressed and more consistently played on music stations in recent years I guess it is almost hard-coded into people's minds that it is how it should sound - But saying that, I sort of rushed the nickelback one and didnt give it the same levelos care or tweaking in comparison to the Dream Theater ones :-)

Just had a quick look at the Retail CD - That is some shocking clipping on that record - will certainly try my best to rescue it if possible :-)

Was meaning to check out that album also - haven't had the chance, but it's on the list. Will see what I can do with that though, each album varies in how much it was originally squashed and how much of a change can be made and still have it sound like an official mastering would have if it was done differently to start with - If you see what I mean

You need something that plays FLAC files. Winamp or MediaMonkey will play them out-of-the-box. Windows Media Player etc can play them if you install the required codec.
