Note: Reduce volume on retail by approximately 5.3db during playback for equal loudness comparison

To enjoy to its fullest, please play on a standalone/dedicated audio system (non-portable – non-builtin) if possible – and turn it up a good bit. The impact, and the resultant attention it draws from the listener as a result of the increased dynamics and seperation of instrumentss helps make the song a lot more memorable & also interesting.

  1. could u remaster Slipknot’s “Welcome” from Vol.3 The Subliminal Verses.
That album was worked on by Rick Rubin and Greg Fidelman, the same combo that ruined Death Magnetic 4 yrs later.
Greg is a really horrible mixer , he doesn’t know how to back off the compression and his mixes are stiffer than a solid log of dog shit, no dynamics at all.
Andy Wallace kicks his ass any day.
Wallace+Rubin = :) (Seasons in the abyss, Toxicity)
    Fidelman+Rubin=:(, aka just pure horseshit

  2. I was thinking about doing some work on that album actually – was already pencilled in as my next project.

  3. Hey, but could you try remixing another of Dream Theater’s albums? Octavarium? That one sound pretty flat and loud.

  4. Might take a look at that one once I’ve completed Vol.3 – Not too sure just yet.
