Easily is the worst sounding one. It's because in addition to the clipping which all tracks suffer from, it has heavy combing problems with the drums. This is also apparent with the "unmastered" version.

Oh, and good to have you on board here at Justice For Audio - together with the PMF we certainly hope at the very least people are aware of role of dynamics in music, and that one edition/release can be quite different to another (aka re-masters/greatest hits etc) - people need to start seeking out quality once more :-)

I can't believe that this record was produced by the same Rick Rubin who did Blood Sugar Sex Magik 8 years prior. That album was beautiful. Nice reverb on chad's drums. engineer Brendan O' Brien is a god compared to Greg Fidelfucker or whatever his name is. Californication is just so dead and dry. Chad's dry as hell snare has an annoying pang to it as opposed to the nice hearty crack heard on Blood Sugar. I know that Vlado Meller mastered Californication but does anyone know who mastered Blood Sugar Sex Magik? ;)
