I'll need to upload a second time due to a slight bass resonance issue in the tracks (excessive rumbling & resonance with wood in the 140hz-170hz range)

Other than that, it is pretty close to the final sound :-)

Sounds great, although I find the "kick drum" (not sure if that's its name, the largest drum anyway) to be a little to high in the frequency range or if it's missing some of it's "bottom" perheaps, I'm no expert :p

Otherwise it sounds great, is it based on the original or those high quality stems that came with the super fancy edition?

This is entirely mixed from the Delux Edition Stems.

Regarding the kick drum - that is more likely a result of the lower amount of compression used on the drum. I'll take another look at it just in case.
Also, the updated set of files are now in place, so if it was the first version of files you listened to, check it out again.

Also, what sort of system/speakers aree you listening on out of curiosity

Nice.

After listening a little more I find the all drums sound a little "hollow" like as if Mike is hitting a desk rather then drums. (I exaggerate a little of course ;))

First I had the first version, but soon updated to the second version, which is better then the first but the drums still sound strange :p

A 40€ logitech setup I found at my local supermarket... Nah. I have Yamaha RX-V457 (a couple of years old reciver) and "Dynavoice Challenger S-6" (~150€) (http://foxyurl.com/umg)

I know my setup isn't great, but way better then my friends stupid logitech crap at least :)

EDIT. Just to point it out, this is not whining. I couldn't be happier, I've listened to the album non stop now which I never could with the original. :D

yah, I could try making them sound 'fuller' but am trying all I can to avoid that unless really neccesarry sinc it will require a tad too much on the compression side hehe :-)

Of course, compression=bad.

Btw: maybye it was my system that just was cold because now it sounds a little better I think and it sounds really bad before it's warmed up. I'll listen some more trying to figure it out :)

Why can't the artists and record companies don't release properly mastered records instead of wondering why people download their records illegal, which is quite obvious when one realize the effects of overcompression and the loudness war. (sorry for offtopic )

Btw. English is not my native language so my sentence building is very bad :/

not off topic at all :-)
But yah, people these days are recording almost with the expectation of creating the entire sound via mixing and I think dont put enough effort in to getting thee sound right from the start, and then patch it up and make up for deficiencies by layering with compression etc.
