


Now, if I reduced the freakazoid spikes, it wouldn't be DR19 but it'd still be high. The source is a pretty tame, quiet song too with not that much going on so that transients occur separate from each other, are usually "alone", and they are bricked ones with a very noticable cut off to detect them, so they recover really really well.
But then I noticed something interesting in Foobar2000 when I played that file back and watched the oscilloscope.

The only things that peak in the waveform of the declipped file are the "drops", there are no spikes that go that high, therefore it must be a drop that is being represented. But why is it going up rather than down? Does Foobar2000's oscilloscope show things upside down?
