Justice For Audio is an organization endeavoring to unite fans of music, musicians, and industry professionals in a movement to end the practice of excessive loudness and overcompression in the production of music. Our goal is to broaden the public’s awareness and knowledge of this issue, through any means at our disposal, ultimately leading to the music industry embracing audio production quality that does the music justice.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As an Organisation, we aim to achieve this ultimate goal by:
1. Educating the general music buying public on the destructive nature of digital technologies on the quality of music recordings
2. Training and raising awareness of the components of music that give it the qualities for it to remain timeless and enjoyable
3. Encouraging the media and music industry to listen to the real demand for and the true value of higher quality, dynamic & enjoyable music.
To achieve these aims, we intend to engage in activities such as, but not limited to:
1. Creating video and/or audio based comparison and informational items for posting on popular public and music sites, such as youtube, social networking sites, music discussion boards.
2. Correspondance with popular publications & blogs, highlighting the issues at play so as to bring widespread attention from industry & consumers to the issues affecting audio quality.
3. Engaging in discussions on other fan forums, social sites, blogs etc to highlight sound issues and to garner the opinions and support of like-minded music consumers and industry professionals.
