Vapor Trails remixed?

For Rush's upcoming compilation Retrospective III some tracks from Vapor Trails are being remixed (One Little Victory and Earthshine). With that there is talk (including from Rush themselves) of a complete remix of the album.

Right, but who knows if this will actually happen. Atlantic certainly won't support it, so I would think the band would have to fund the project, and then there's the whole issue of reissuing the album. Bottom line is Rush don't own the master tapes, Atlantic does, so if they did fix the the album, how would it reach the fans?

The two remixed tracks on Retrospective III do sound a lot better than their original VT versions. Still not perfect, but a huge improvement and for me the difference between grating and enjoyable.
